Who better to go to for swimwear beautiful enough for the Miss France beauty pageant than a former Miss France winner? This is exactly what happened when Aquarella Swimwear, the pride and joy of former Miss France, Veronique de la Cruz, was selected as the official swimwear sponsor for Miss France 2012.

Swimwear designer Nikki Poulos to compete on NBC's Fashion Star

“Easy glamour” has always been designer Nikki Poulos’ approach to her designs. “I want to create comfortable but beautiful pieces that I would wear... that easily translate from day to night” says Poulos. Both Poulos’ Resort and Swim collections are representative of this - featuring vintage inspired styles, sassy prints and bold colors. A fascination with old Hollywood glamour and the icons of fashion, film and art, inspire and influence her styling to create a line that represents the epitome of modern boho chic.

Poulos is an Australian-born former marine biologist, now designer, who along with having a passion for marine science and the environment was passionate about design from an early age. In 2001 she moved to Miami to further her marine studies and in 2008 returned to her fashion roots and started her successful eponymous label Nikki Poulos. Her collections have been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Elle, Lucky and Fitness magazines, and the European version of the hit television show Next Top Model. The line is available across the US, Mexico, Jamaica, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Canada, and Australia. She believes strongly in supporting her local community and economy, therefore all her pieces are proudly produced in the US. In addition, the swim collection features prints exclusively designed and printed in the US.
